The Ecco Brand was born in 1963 just north of the German border. A visionary, entrepreneur and innovator, Karl Toosbuy worked hard to craft quality but also think beyond what was already sold. He became the first shoemaker to realize and introduce shoes had to be made to the foot. Ecco is one of the few major shoe manufacturers in the world to own and manage every step of the shoemaking process.
